Summary
Lukas family was worried because they could not find Lukas as the fog was too thick to find the child. Malie, Sofie and Elias went searching for the missing boy until it was late night. They were afraid that the missing child would be stepped by the elephants as there were many cases of missing children in the past. They brought lanterns to help them find their ways better and on the every hundred paces they will call out and on the tenth call and they will back fifty yards. By morning, the fog was cleared and they started searching again. By midday, fourteen woodcutters were taking part in the search and on the next morning the constable came from the village to help as well. Towards the evening, skeleton belonging to a smallish child had been found amongst the driftwood along the Gouna River. But it could have been part of a baboon's skeleton.
